What is the Analyst - Global Research Library – Global Research Library group responsible for?

  • Global Research Library provides information and data visualization services to investment management groups around the world. This position supports library processes and client service distribution using information technology and custom-built IT solutions. Candidate will be responsible for SharePoint sites and other collaboration and content management systems. Candidate should have a good understanding of Responsive design. Requires strong coordination skills, flexibility, critical thinking, and attention to detail necessary to support clients, and coordinate with working partners around the globe. Candidate will be the department’s technical subject matter expert, providing solutions, support, and liaising with technical partners (FTT, vendors, etc.). Candidate should identify technology gaps and opportunities; research, evaluate and present solutions. Candidate should define and communicate requirements for technology-based solutions along with other duties.#MID_SENIOR_LEVEL

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Analyst - Global Research Library?

  • Developing and maintaining department’s SharePoint site, which includes –
    • Designing engaging and responsive landing pages.
    • Optimizing sites for maximum speed and scalability.
    • Employing industry and design best practice through website build process.
    • Conducting website testing.
    • Ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet.
    • Providing support throughout the build and launch process of the website.
  • Developing and maintaining custom SharePoint application for content management and delivery, which includes –
    • Designing engaging and responsive landing pages.
    • Optimizing sites for maximum speed and scalability.
    • Employing industry and design best practice through website build process.
    • Conducting website testing.
    • Ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet.
  • Support collaboration using Office 365 applications, which includes –
    • Exploring different Office 365 applications that are designed to cover collaboration needs at the departmental and team level.
    • Integrating different Microsoft Office 365 apps for business needs
    • Managing membership details.
  • Assisting with reporting, which includes -

    • Library Management Reports, Knowledge Explorer Usage Reports, etc.
    • Compile ad hoc analytics on research library services and utilization by clients.
    • Compile library utilization data, including data queries, data validation, statistical and trend analysis, and quality control.
    • Generate reports, including graphical presentation, formatting, design, and quality assurance.
    • Communicate and coordinate with team to ensure high quality, meaningful reports.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain SharePoint workspaces, including libraries, lists, web parts, workflows, and external database connections.
    • Working on different collaboration tools like OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Yammer, Skype for Business, Outlook Online and Delve boards

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree with IT or Computer Science.
  • Minimum three years relevant experience
  • Certification on Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Any additional certification on IT/computer application is a plus
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Expert knowledge of SharePoint functionality for collaboration and content management.
  • Expert in web development and coding languages (ability to create, understand, troubleshoot, edit sites/pages, etc.) Experience using Dreamweaver in conjunction with HTML, PHP, CSS, Java script, jQuery required.
  • Experience as a SharePoint Site Owner, Administrator or Developer a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of responsive web design.
  • Expert knowledge of Mobile site development.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team sharing the responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage timelines to perform work on multiple projects.
  • Ability to understand technology development perspectives, both from the developer point of view and the client point of view.
  • Ability to communicate and share information with team members and across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking capability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; ability to formulate solutions.
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams in a multi-national organization.
  • Ability to resolve issues by troubleshooting errors or discrepancies
